PostPrint (“we,” “us,” or “our”) provides a Shopify app that helps merchants design and print branded packing slips, thank-you cards, and gift notes. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information when you install or use PostPrint.

1) Information we collect

  • Store data (from Shopify): shop domain, store name, email, plan, locale, and access tokens required to operate the app.
  • Order & product data (when needed): order IDs, line items, customer names (for printing), shipping address blocks, and order attributes (e.g., gift note). We only request scopes needed for features you enable.
  • App usage data: events like “template saved,” “slip printed,” errors, and anonymized analytics (page views, feature toggles).
  • Support data: messages you send to us (email, chat), including screenshots or logs you choose to share.

2) How we use information

  • Operate core features (render templates, print/PDF slips, pull gift notes, etc.).
  • Personalize and improve the app, troubleshoot issues, and measure usage.
  • Provide support and notify you about important changes or incidents.
  • Comply with Shopify’s requirements, our terms, and applicable laws.

3) Legal bases (EEA/UK)

We process data based on contract necessity (to deliver the app), legitimate interests (to secure and improve the app), and consent where required (e.g., certain analytics/cookies).

4) How we share information

  • Shopify: to the extent required for app functionality and compliance with the Shopify Partner Program.
  • Service providers: hosting, databases, logging/monitoring, and analytics—bound by confidentiality and data-processing terms.
  • Legal & safety: if required by law, to protect our rights, users, or the public.
  • Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice where required.

5) Data retention

We retain app data only as long as necessary to provide the service. When you uninstall the app, we remove or anonymize store-linked data within a reasonable period, except where retention is legally required (e.g., logs, billing records).

6) Security

We use industry-standard safeguards (encryption in transit, scoped tokens, least-privilege access). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data.

7) International transfers

Your information may be processed outside your home country. Where applicable, we rely on approved transfer mechanisms and vendor DPAs.

8) Your rights

  • Merchants (store owners): You can access, correct, export, or delete app data by contacting us. Uninstalling the app revokes our access to your store.
  • Customers of merchants: We process your information on behalf of the merchant. Please contact the store directly for privacy requests; we’ll assist the merchant when asked.
  • Regional rights (GDPR/UK, CCPA/CPRA): Subject to law, you may request access/erasure or opt out of certain processing. We do not “sell” personal information as defined by the CPRA.

9) Children

PostPrint is for business use and not directed to children under 13 (or the relevant age in your region).

10) Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect product, legal, or operational changes. We’ll post the new date at the top and, when appropriate, notify merchants via the app or email.
